This hour was spent analyzing the amazing assertion in the London Daily Telegraph that brilliant men ALWAYS cheat on their wives. During the hour, this lunacy was debated by wives of very smart husbands who don’t cheat.
The second hour of the Tuesday edition consisted mostly of who won and lost in the Israeli-Hezbollah war, and whether there is one iota of fact or truth in the Seymour Hersh New Yorker piece accusing the Bush administration of planning and ordering Israel to conduct the war as a prelude into a future Iranian bombing campaign. Guests included IDF Lt. General Dan Harel, and Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman.
Guest host Jed Babbin started the hour out talking with Jerusalem Post columnist Carolyn Glick, talking about the move to call for a no confidence vote in Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s government.
Jed Babbin continued to fill in for Hugh Hewitt while he is on his Alaska cruise. Starting out the hour from Israel is former military and current reporter, Paul Kotik, on the impact of the cease fire. Later in the hour, Real Clear Politics’ John McIntyre discussed the Wallace-Ahmadinejead interview last night.
Much of the third hour was dedicated to the New Yorker piece by Sy Hersh, accusing the Bush administration of planning and ordering the Israelis to conduct the recent attacks on Lebanon as a dry run into a supposed bombing raid on Iran later. Col. Carney of the Special Forces Survival Foundation joined guest host Jed Babbin.
