Thanks Kerry. I’ll keep in mind, but I am shocked since Jamie was soloing the show and there were some terrific people to interview.
I hate it when doing workout to find the “dead” space. Even as I gasp for my next breath and needing all the concentration I can muster, you would think I couldn’t get distracted. But I do with the “dead” space.
I wouldn’t listen to those people if Hugh were intewviewing them again for the umpteenth time either. Does someone think that something they can say will make me even less likely to vote for Democrats or something? Somehow less than 0%? Bah. Sure I can see why this kind of stuff is needed for a radio show that might get different listeners dropping in and out every day/hour. But for ME it’s just a waste of time.
Sounds like you are looking for a different venue. Before reupping my subscription, I thought about paying for Dennis Miller and I always like Prager. However, my issue with Hugh is his childish behavior at times. He seemed to correct it just before and after my subscription expired.
What Hugh has that no one else has is the voice. At least for me, it is ideal for a workout. Keeps me motivated and helps me focus as I gasp for breath. (BTW, I can’t do Duane when working out but enjoy his show on way to work and other times as overall, he is the best). So, I really don’t mind respectful interviews even when they are all repetitive.
I also listen to Frank Gaffney’s daily show. Now, those are repetitive for the most part, but over time, I am beginning to get a better picture of what is going on.
If Hugh ever stops having on Steyn and Lileks, and if Duane ever stops doing Aftershow, I can’t think of any reason to keep paying. But I might go back to recording it myself, on computer, from free broadcast just in case something interesting comes up. It just won’t be worth paying for every month.
