  1. David Lyday says:

Bravo, Senator McConnell. Don’t budge an inch.
Sen. McConnell is doing what the GOP MUST DO during this process. APPEAR EVERY DAY … to explain what they are doing and WHY they are doing it. The Speaker took a lot of heat in 2010-11 … I think largely because he did not make his case to the public. The Speaker, Sen. McConnell, Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy, Shelly Capito, Marcia Blackburn, Paul Ryan, Sen. Kyl, Sen. Rubio, Sen Cornyn, Ted Cruze … need to be on Hewitt, Rush, Hannity, Prager, Bennett, Ingram … take the case to the base.

  2. Kerry Davis says:

Hugh and Lileks are both wrong about the Postal Service. Postal business has actually picked up because of merchandise handling for things like eBay and even Amazon. It would be well in the black NOW, if not for the Draconian imposition by Congress of a future-funding requirement not put on any other business or agency.

And as I went reading through this weekend, I thought to […]
    • How The GOP Ought To Campaign On The Federal Courts August 18, 2014
My Monday Washington Examiner column looks at the wreckage made of judicial confirmations by Democrats from ted Kennedy to Harry Reid, and outlines the strategy the GOP ought to use to rebuild: First retaliate with a blockade and then rebuild with a bipartisan reconstruction of the supermajority for judges.
