  2. Matthew Pollard says:

    I sent you some traffic!

Can we get a copy of Hugh’s book interview with Coach Newland up on the site ?

  3. Matthew Pollard says:

    OK. A little work …

A nice character sketch of Coach Newland from the LA Times

“In 1991 Newland gave $20,000 of his own money to the Irvine program and started drawing his retirement pay instead of a salary. …

“I’m not doing this to win things,” Newland says. “I have a love affair with all my players. I tell them they’re worthless and lazy and don’t want to work hard. It’s not that I don’t like them. I want them to be successful.”"

Where is the documentary Hugh kept talking about? Sounded like he’d been working on it for two years when the show was recorded. Hopefully it’s done now!

  4. Nick Stuart says:

    It was a great interview.

My one quibble, you really can’t “build in what God left out.” On the other hand, God puts into each of us more than anyone can ever develop if he or she lived three lifetimes.
